How to get to the island of Elba
Ferry
The island of Elba can be reached by boarding at Piombino Marittima, where four shipping companies (Toremar, Moby Lines, Blu Navy and Corsica Ferries) have comfortable ferries that make multi-day trips. With a single hour of sailing you cover the approximately 10 kilometers that separate the island from the continent, reaching the ports of Portoferraio (the main), Cavo and Rio Marina.

A12 motorway to Genoa-Livorno: exit in Rosignano; continue on S.S. Aurelia to Venturina-Elba Island and from here to Piombino Marittima, to the port for boarding.
FROM NORTHEAST
A1 Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno motorway: going out to Rosignano; continue on the S.S Aurelia to Venturina-Island of Elba and from here to Piombino Marittima, to the port for boarding.
Alternatively: following the S.G.C. Florence-Pisa-Livorno, go out to Florence Signa and follow the S.S. to Collesalvetti; return the Highway to Rosignano Marittimo, then take the freeway to Venturina, and continue to Piombino Marittima.
FROM THE SOUTH
A12 Rome-Grosseto motorway: continue on the S.S Aurelia to Venturina-Isola d'Elba and from here to Piombino Marittima, to the port for boarding.
